uplink speed for a dedicated server

Choosing the uplink port for your dedicated server largely depends on what you will be using it for. A faster port speed means that more your data and web content will be able to reach the internet quicker.

10Mb/s port speed is usually sufficient if you use your server for backup, or if you are hosting a new or relatively low traffic website.

100 Mb/s port speed is great for most gameserver, voip, and high traffic website hosting.

1 Gb/s port speed is best for servers that are used for high traffic hosting of websites and applications.

You can order the upgrade your server port speed at anytime by entering a support ticket at the PingPipe Client Area
