Making portal backup

Tip1: If You are installing portal for the frst time You don't need to follow the steps 1-7. You begin from step 8:Jump to step 8 Tip2: If You are having web instead of portal follow the steps below just insted "portal" type "web"

1)Go to Start --> Run (1.), type c:/inetpub/wwwroot (2.) and click "OK" button(3.)

2)Right click on the portal folder(1.) and zip it(2.)

3)Copy the Portal.zip to a backup folder and delete the Portal.zip from wwwroot

4)Make Mysql/Mssql backup to the same folder where You put the portal.zip

5) Go to Start -> Contol pannel -->  Add/remove programs

6) Find the Portal(1.) click remove(2.) and uninstall it(3.)

7) I You  didn't deleted the portal.zip from wwwroot in step 3 make it now - ITS NOT SAFE TO KEEP THE PORTAL.ZIP IN WWWROOT!!!(1.)

Installing Portal

8)Run the portal installer(1.) and click "next" button(2.)

9)Fill the first form:

    - type the portal adress instead the "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" type your IP or domain name (1.),
    - type the tittle of the portal(2.),
    - type the Currency You want to be used in the portal (3.),
    - click the "next" button(4.),

  
10)Fill the second form:   

    - type the onlineshop adress instead of the "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" type your IP or domain name (1.),
    - type the shortcut of the language wich will be default for portal, for egzample "EN" for English(2.),
    - type the Dialer Server Adress - instead of the "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" type your IP   (3.),
    - click the "next" button(4.),

11)Chose the type of database You are using Mysql or Mssql(1.) and click "next" button(2.)   

12)Fill the database form:

    - type the database server adress instead of "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" if the database is on same server u can type "localhost" (1.),
    - type the name of database You want ot install portal, default is "voipswitch"(2.),
    - type the user name to database access, default mysql is "root"(3.),
    - type the password to database access(4.)
    - click the "next" button(5.),

  
13)Chose the site (1.), the destination folder "Portal" or "Web"(2.) and click "next" button (3.)

14)Click "next" button to begin instalation(1.)

15)After finishing install just click the "close" button(1.)

Installing Portal Language Organizer

Tip 3: Now the portal is installed but if You want it to work You need also to set the language in Portal Language Organizer. If You have the Portal Language Organizer allready installed just follow the steps from step 20 of the tutorial: jump to step 20

16)Run the Portal Language Organizer installer(1.) and click the "next" button(2.).

17)Chose the destination fiolder where ist should be installed(1.)  and click on "next" button(2.).

 

18)Click "next" button to begin instalation(1.)

19)After finishing install just click the "close" button(1.)

Adding and Removing the Language

20)Open the Portal Language Organizer.

 Go to Start -> All programs -> Voipswitch --> Portal Language Organizer and click on it(1.)

 
21)In the Portal Language Organizer klick the "settings" button(1.) and fill the settings.

    - Chose the database type Mysql or Mssql(2.)
    - type the database server adress instead of "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" if the database is on same server u can type "localhost" (3.),
    - type the name of catalog where voipswitch is installed, default is "voipswitch"(4.),
    - type the user name to database access, default mysql is "root"(5.),
    - type the password to database access(6.),
    - type the Path where the Portal folder is stored(7.),
    - if You are sure all the serrings are ok, just click the "Save settings" button(8.)

22) Click on the "Language" button(1.) and select "Remove"(2.). Chose the language You want to remove(3.) and click the "Yes" button(4.)

After that You will get a command:

 

Tip 4: Remove from Portal Language Organizer all the languages that have been added during the installation.

23)After removeing all the languages click on the "Language(1.) and select "Add"(2.).
Type the 2 letters of the Language You want to be added for egzample "EN" for English(3.) and click "ADD" button(4.)

After that You will get a command:

Tip5: This way You can add multiply languages. After finishing the tutorial the portal will work with no errors.
