firewall setup for Voipswitch

You may use any firewall with your purchased VoipSwitch. Clients renting dedicated servers with Voipswitch pre-installed wiill have firewall service setup for them during install.

This example is based on free (also for commercial use) firewall called GhostWall. The following ports have to be unlocked for VoipSwitch:

  • 1719-1720  - TCP, UDP  Incoming
  • 5060 - TCP, UDP  Incoming
  • 1800-1804  - TCP Incoming
  • 1803,1805  - UDP Incoming
  • 6000-20000  - UDP Incoming and Outgoing

This ports that have to be unlocked for the VSPortal Callback module

  • 1936 TCP Incoming and Outgoing

 These ports that have to be unlocked for Openfire IM server :

  • 5222,5229 - Jabber port

  • 9090 - admin console

  • 9091 - secure admin console (ssl)

  • 7777 - file transfer proxy service

  • 7070 - HTTP binding (allows clients using the HTTP protocol to connect to the server)

 These ports that have to be unlocked for IP PBX and Flash WebPhone :

  • 1935 - TCP, web dialer, VSPortal

  • 1938 - TCP, Web Dialer, IP PBX

  • 5070-5099 - UDP, SIP, WebDialer

  • 3000-3029 - UDP, RTP, WebDialer
