| ID Protect is a service available when you choose PingPipe to register, renew, or transfer a domain name. This service hides the WHOIS information of your domain’s registration from being displayed in the public WHOIS record, and also protects the WHOIS contacts from data mining and spam. Other similar services only falsify the WHOIS information with bogus information. This can lead to a domain's registration being suspended. This ID Protect service is fully ICANN compliant, and the data is kept secure and private in a 3rd party data vault. Many services simply stop all emails from reaching the domain contacts, which means important emails such as offers to purchase the domain do not reach the domain contacts. ID Protect differs from those services because it forwards legitimate mail, but stops spam. ID Protect can be used on any domain registration from one of the following TLDs: COM, NET, ORG, INFO, BIZ, PRO, TV, CC, ME, ASIA, CM.
