Windows 2008 has been in end-of-life status with Microsoft for quite some time, and MetaQuotes just announced that starting June 1, 2021 they will stop supporting MetaTrader4 and MetaTrader5 on dedicated servers that are running Windows 2008.
MetaQuotes has also updated other minimum system requirements for MetaTrader4 and MetaTrader5. Starting on June 1, 2021 in addition to at least Windows 2021 r2 Standard Edition they require that the dedicated server processor supports AVX technology.
